DESIGN FOR MANUFACTURABILITY (DFM)

Our approach is built on collaboration across a strong cross-functional team, incorporating insights from customers, suppliers, and various functions. We also utilize in-house CAE resources to validate key product attributes before finalizing the design.
Prototyping
ASYST offers a full suite of services to quickly and cost-effectively produce prototype parts to meet your requirements. Services offered:

- Rapid prototype mold tools for plastic parts

Machine Testing & Validation
At ASYST, we ensure machine reliability through rigorous testing and troubleshooting before deployment. Our factory acceptance and validation testing guarantees seamless integration and operational readiness. Once complete, we transfer the system to our customer’s facility for installation and site acceptance.
MATERIAL SELECTION

INJECTION MOLDING
ASYST specializes in producing high-quality parts from thermoplastic engineering-grade resins. We have molding machines ranging from 28 to 340 tons that support (horizontal, vertical, over, insert) molding processes and are seamlessly integrated with automation for enhanced precision and efficiency. By leveraging scientific molding and advanced process monitoring technology, we ensure stable processes that consistently deliver reliable, high-quality components across various industries.
LIQUID SILICONE RUBBER MOLDING
Widely used in healthcare and medical devices, our liquid silicone rubber (LSR) molding offers precision, biocompatibility, and durability for both custom prototypes and end-use production parts. Our LSR solutions produce high-quality, safe, and reliable components that meet stringent industry standards.
INSERT MOLDING
ASYST employs insert molding when the combination of precision and strength matters. Integrating separate components (like metal and plastic) into a single part reduces assembly time and costs, improves durability, and is ideal for products with embedded electronics or mechanical components.
TWO-SHOT MOLDING
Two-shot molding can produce superior design, functionality, efficiency, and quality by combining two materials in a single mold. This method can reduce assembly time, improve aesthetics, and create complex parts with enhanced functionality at lower costs. Techniques include two-shot, co-injection, and hard/soft combinations of thermoplastics.
COMPONENT ASSEMBLY
We are proficient at developing tooling and processes to assemble various types of components across diverse manufacturing industries. Whether working with plastic, metal, or other materials, our expertise ensures reliable and efficient assembly of your parts. We verify each component is assembled correctly before adding additional value to the assembly to ensure there is minimal waste in the process.
IN-LINE MANUFACTURING
Implementing in-line manufacturing enhances takt time, reduces rejects, minimizes reruns, and decreases machine downtime, potentially lowering inventory levels. This streamlined approach optimizes the entire manufacturing workflow, ensuring on-time delivery and improved customer satisfaction.
LEAK TESTING
When leak integrity is crucial to your product's performance and quality, ASYST offers precise leak test solutions. Our systems utilize methods such as pressure decay, mass flow, and vacuum decay to ensure we meet stringent leak specifications and surpass customer expectations.
PERFORMANCE TESTING
Performance testing at ASYST replicates real-world production scenarios to stress-test critical systems while monitoring key performance indicators. We conduct these tests virtually through CAE simulation, as well as in laboratory and assembly settings. Testing includes insertion and removal force, torque, throughput, and environmental conditions like high/low temperature.
ROBOTICS
Adding robotics to automation is a great way to improve efficiency, precision, and productivity. Our robot solutions can perform complex, repetitive tasks consistently, enabling faster production and higher-quality outcomes in various industries.
